App-Bar Block – the buttons of an app bar on the dashboard¶
The App-Bar Block shows an app bar on the dashboard: a row of buttons, including menus with child items. It is the way to put several actions or a drop-down menu on a dashboard.
This page is part of the widget reference.
1. At a glance¶
| Purpose | Shows the items of an app bar |
| Typical use | A row of quick actions at the top of a dashboard; a "New" menu with several entries |
| Related | App bars, Button |
2. Settings¶
In addition, the widget has the settings every widget has.
| Setting | Meaning | Default |
|---|---|---|
| "App Bar" | The app bar whose items are shown | none – required |
3. Behaviour¶
- The items are drawn as buttons; an item with child items opens them as a menu.
- The actions run without a record, as on the top and left app bar.
- The "Visible" and "Disabled" conditions of the items are evaluated when the dashboard is drawn. With "Auto Refresh" they are evaluated again at the interval.
- Padding, border and background of the widget apply to the band the buttons sit in.
4. Example¶
Quick actions. An app bar "Service quick actions" with "New ticket", "New call" and a menu "Reports" with three entries. An App-Bar Block at the top of the service dashboard shows it.
